Nvidia Kai - A New Tablet Platform To Take On Kindle Fire

Major tech company Nvidia has a new "reference" tablet design (a hardware configuration upon which others will build their own branded products), with a quad core CPU that should cost around $200. The new "Kai" platform will run the current version 4 of the Android mobile operating system on a Tegra 3 chipset, the idea being to offer something as good or better than the Kindle Fire, at the same price point. According to Nvidia, "[Other hardware makers] are using the Kai platform to build Tegra 3 tablets now".
