Bing Maps Get Some New Data

Online maps seem to be hot stuff these days, and Bing Maps recently got a nice boost courtesy of 165 Terabytes of image data added to them - see the image below for an idea of how much "stuff" is in one Terabyte. There's always some squabbling about whether Google Maps or Bing Maps or (insert your favorite web-based map here)  are "better". The new data allows more recent and more detailed Aerial and Bird's Eye views - and they look good, as far as the destinations I am familiar with. For example, our home is about three years old and it does show up on both Google and Bing Satellite maps (although it's under construction on Bing's Bird's Eye view). Hey, the world is a big place.
