More DARPA Robotic HiJinks

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has been working with Boston Dynamics for several years on prototype robotic "pack mules" - which are just what they sound like - automatons that carry stuff for soldiers or marines in the field, just like pack mules used to do in WW1. Apart from the engine  noise (which I assume will be addressed at some point), these things are now pretty advanced and can maintain their balance while carrying substantial loads over varied terrain. Apparently, testing on the LS3 (Legged Squad Support System - gotta love military parlance) is going well.
