IBM's Watson Computer Goes To School

Remember when IBM's Watson supercomputer made a splash on the TV game show Jeopardy? It was a publicity bonanza for the IBM team, and a great way to raise public awareness of what computers can be capable of. It has been noted that one of the goals of the Watson project was to bring that incredible computing power to bear on the field of medicine, to give physicians an institutive way to diagnose disease symptoms. The Cleveland Clinic are now working with IBM and their own medical students and faculty to hone and fine tune Watson's Deep Question Answering technology to do just that.
