Remember This? The Kingston Trio

Stepping away from computers and stuff for a bit, fellow boomers may remember the Kingston Trio - who brought a more "pop" version of folk music to the American consciousness in the late 50's and early 60's. Less "political" than some other folk groups of the time, they sold a bunch of records and had thirteen albums in the top 10; those are Beatles-type numbers.

Fast-forward 50 years, and Mumford & Sons are doing something similar in putting a twist to a folksy repertoire mostly of their own composition, but carrying it off with big scale pop/rock panache. No coffee bars for them, but big halls and big crowds are the norm.
