Windows 8 May Boost Apple Sales

If a new survey is to be believed, Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system may be potentially sending quite a few users over to Apple products. The antivirus company Avast surveyed more than 100,000 Windows users, people using Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. 16% of those surveyed indicated they were going to buy a new computer in the near future - and of those, 42% said the intended to buy a Mac or iPad. Forty-two percent. Even allowing for some who could possibly be buying both a Windows 8 PC and an iPad, that's a pretty huge percentage considering Apple's overall share (up to now) of the personal computer market.
