Older Audio Technology Still Sounds Good

When the digital storage and playback of music first became popular with the CD, there was considerable resistance among audiophiles who felt that the new technology was inferior at performing it's primary task - faithfully reproducing sound, particularly music. I myself have fond memories of spinning 45's, and for all the advances in digital music handling since, the older audio technology can still hold it's own - there is still a market for record players, for example. Analog sound reproduction (the record player) versus digital sound reproduction (the mp3 player) is still a debated topic. The big advance with digital music is the convenience and portability of  both the media and the means of hearing it.
