Remember This? The Beatles - A Day In The Life

If you are a younger reader, you may not be aware of what a big deal the The Beatles were in their day. Not only did they have phenomenal success over the relatively brief 10 year period they were together, but they pushed the envelope in some remarkable ways. It's maybe hard to get too excited about some of the songs now, but this was back in the 60's when they didn't "do" pop  songs with string quartets (Eleanor Rigby), or some of the other quirky things the "Fab Four" and producer George Martin came up with. Indeed, they moved on from pop and rock, to create something else - and a good example of that is A Day In The Life, voted 28th greatest song of all time by Rolling Stone. Here, producer George Martin breaks down the magnum opus.
