Can't Sleep? There's An App For That Too

As we get older, we sometimes have difficulty falling asleep. There can be many reasons for this, medical and otherwise - plus boomers and older adults often don't need quite as much sleep as they did when they were younger. That said, it's not pleasant to stare at the ceiling and wonder why you can't drift off. Personally, I find that a radio or TV playing at a low level helps (fortunately, so does my wife!). Often, white noise such as the sound of a fan, or of rain, can help people relax, and therefore allow them to fall asleep more easily. Gizmo's Freeware has found a website that allows you to "mix" you own soundscapes, and there are also some standalone programs mentioned in the comments that can do much the same thing. Sweet dreams.
