One More Nail In Windows XP's Coffin

The latest wrinkle is Redmond making ominous noises about "not guaranteeing" that they will keep making updates available for the XP version of Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) after the 2014 support cutoff. MSE is the free antivirus product Microsoft offers for XP, Vista and Windows 7. While you could certainly use other free antivirus products after that time, it's becoming quite obvious you will be on your own with Windows XP if you decide to keep using it on an ongoing basis.
