Microsoft Patch Tuesday June 2014 - Critical IE Update

Microsoft Patch Tuesday is the second Tuesday of each month (June 10th this time around), and is the scheduled release date for security updates affecting Windows and other Microsoft products. It is also the scheduled release day for security updates for Adobe products, through an agreement between Microsoft and Adobe. Microsoft has three critical items in this month's crop of updates, including one for Internet Explorer. Following on a few flaky Windows Updates recently, you may even want to wait 24 or 48 hours to download them and install the patches - in case there are any serious problems with the updates. See how to configure Windows Updates here.

Windows XP users will officially get no further updates, and Windows 8.1 users must now update to Windows 8.1 update first in order to receive further Windows updates (no, I don't get it either).
