Take A Minute...

...and be thankful for the things you have. It sounds trite and corny, but it can make you feel better on those days when things seem to weigh more heavily than usual. For example, I was cutting the grass - sweating and puffing and not enjoying the process - when it occurred to me that at least I can still cut my own grass - there will likely come a time when I can't. At that time, part of me will enjoy watching someone else do it, and I suspect I will also feel rueful that I used to be able to do that on my own. When I walk our dog, which can be a chore, I remember that I have a close relative who was recently confined to a wheelchair. It's just putting things into perspective. Oh, and feel free to thank God too...
