Deep Fried Coffee Balls

Some time ago, I tried one of those cold coffee drinks. I don't know what I expected, but it tasted like, well, cold, milky, sugary coffee. Blarg. With that history, and while I enjoy fried food as much as any red-blooded, cholesterol-sodden person would, I don't think I would try deep-fried coffee balls. 

Apparently, I would be right not to do so....
If you start out with something delicious — like a candy bar — and then fry it, sure, it’s gonna taste good. But if you take something you’d normally never eat by itself — like coffee grounds — it might taste like something you’d throw out after making your morning pot coffee fell into the deep fryer.
