What A Difference In 50 years

I was born in 1957 - it seems like a log time, but in the big scheme of things it's barely a blip.

Back then:
There were no personal computers, Internet or mobile phones
Wham-O Company produces the 1st Frisbee
The first satellite was put into orbit that year
US army sells last homing pigeons
A gallon of gas cost 31 cents
The average annual salary in the US was $5,500
However, had I been born only 50 years earlier, in 1907, the US at that time was a pretty radically different place:
The American flag had 45 stars
First radio broadcast of a musical composition was aired
Over 95% of births took place at home
The average wage was 22 cents per hour
The automatic washer & dryer are introduced
The average life expectancy was 45 years (gulp)
