Hillary, Donald And Me

In a momentary lapse of sanity, I am actually writing a post with a bit of politics. I sometimes will rail against privacy issues, but really never delve into left-right politics.

I don't like or enjoy arguing with people, and politics is certainly one of those 3rd rail subjects that engenders a hostile environment - although it's never been entirely clear to me why that should be.

Yet social media has become quite the cesspool of name-calling and outrage (real and phony), and I suspect I will avoid Facebook Twitter during the final months running up to the 2016 Presidential election. I don't need the aggravation.

As usual with me, the privacy aspect raises concerns: with all this data being monitored and transmitted, the security of medical records has not been particularly good thus far.
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency announced a project with the U.S. Army Research Office to develop tissue-integrated biosensor technology. Profusa, a San Francisco company, was awarded a $7.5 million grant from DARPA to lead the development.

Social Media Fatigue Is Setting In For Me

Yes, it's sometimes tough being on social media (particularly Facebook, in my case) when you find that a good number of your social media friends - even some actual friends - forcefully (and usually nastily) spout points of view diametrically opposed to what you personally believe.
